Flippedancy

It’s Monday, so it must be time for me to pimp this week’s Flipped! Coming under scrutiny are two new series that focus on protagonists who might want to get their affairs in order: Black Sun, Silver Moon (Go! Comi) and Shakugan no Shana (Viz).

And here are a couple of links to folks who expand on last week’s column, either directly or indirectly:

  • Kristy Valenti offers some money-saving strategies for the manga shopper, and
  • John Jakala checks out another on-line vendor.

I’m relieved to learn that someone else found Shakugan no Shana more difficult to follow than Finnegan’s Wake. Sounds like co-parenting zombie-fighting priests are a better bet for those of us who favor a good old-fashioned narrative.

I’m relieved that you’re relieved, because I was seriously worried that it was just me.

“Rumors of an opera and interpretive dance piece are as yet unconfirmed”.

Mr W, have I mentioned lately how much sheer *enjoyment* I derive from your writing style? Regardless (almost) of subject.

If not, I hope this repairs the omission. The new “Flipped” is always one of the highlights of my week. Many thanks!

PS: Gratters on the new position.

      Thanks, Jenny!

Oh, and Chun, Julie at MangaCast shares our bafflement. But she could just be a Denizen trying to keep us off track as she searches among the Mistes for her Treasure Tool. Or something.

Now I don’t feel quite so ridiculous… thank you.
